NIELIT O level is recognised by many public sector authorities, including UPSC, SSC, railways, banking exams, and many state-level recruitment programmes; hence, it is a valuable qualification to have for obtaining positions in these sectors. Private sector IT companies also accept O Level certification as an IT basic qualification for entry-level government jobs. O Level certification additionally certifies candidates in computer fundamentals, programming, internet technology, and IT applications, thus establishing the candidate's acquisition of the requisite digital knowledge.
According to the NIELIT official annual reports (2023), the average pass percentage across India is around 45–50 per cent. However, the highest success rate was observed in South India, which is 57 per cent of the total qualifiers. Students with an IT or Diploma background showed 12 per cent higher pass rates than fresh 10+2 students.

If you want to become Software engineer, you can choose either degree or diploma courses.

Diploma courses :
Hi! If you want to become a software engineer quickly, a diploma alone may not be enough. You can start with a diploma or certification in programming, but focus on learning languages like Python, Java, or C++, along with web development and databases. Short term coding bootcamps, online courses, and internships will also help you gain practical skills. Later, doing a B.Tech or B.Sc. in Computer Science or IT will give you stronger career growth.
Hello,
Yes, you can.
Maths helps in coding, but it is not always compulsory. Many areas like web development, app development, and software testing need only basic maths. For advanced fields like data science, AI, or graphics, more maths is needed.
So, you can become a software engineer even without strong maths, but having some basic knowledge will make learning easier.
Hope it helps !

Hello,
The JSJ Institute appears to be a private training institute focusing on hardware, networking, and software skills. While private institutes can offer good training, it’s very important to check their credibility before enrolling. You should visit the institute personally, ask about their syllabus, trainers’ qualifications, placement support, and see if they provide any industry-recognized certifications like Cisco (CCNA), Microsoft, or CompTIA. Also, try to speak with past students to know about their experience and job outcomes. Since hardware and networking skills are practical in nature, ensure they have proper lab facilities. Compare their fees and curriculum with other well-known institutes like Jetking, NIIT, or government-run ITIs. This will help you make a safer and more informed decision.
